TiVo makes the easiest to use video recorders by virtue of such user friendly features as “Season Pass” and “Search By Title,” which record an entire season of one show and allow you to search for specific items, like actors or directors, in a TV show, respectively. TiVo HD XL ($450), the latest model, is THX certified and features a 1TB hard drive, sufficient to store about 150 hours of HD programming.
